Sportette is a women in sport think tank.
It challenges the way you think about women in sport and will change the way you think about women and sport. We aim to give you insightful, interesting, thought-provoking features, profiles and opinion pieces on the women involved in all areas of sport.
From the athletes, coaches and trainers, to those who work in the media, administration or in the clubhouse canteen, every woman involved in sport has an interesting story to tell. Here on Sportette we’ll have you glued to every word of their battles, triumphs, fears and joy.

In addition to this website Sportette holds the annual Sportette Summit for Women in Sport and Business. The Summit brings together some of the most powerful men & women in sport and business to facilitate discussion and formulate strategies on how to ensure continued progression for women in both the boardroom and sporting field.
Women in sport and business share a unique relationship and each face similar challenges but moving forward can work together to provide key learnings, inspiration and valuable networking opportunities.
The inaugural Sportette Summit was held at the QT Gold Coast on November 22 2017.
Sam Squiers is an award-winning sports journalist with a strong passion for women in sport.
Sam has worked in the media for over a decade and is currently a Sports Reporter and Presenter for Channel 9 in Australia.
Sam is also the host of Nine’s Women in Sport podcast “In Her Court”, Surfing Australia TV, The Isuzu QLD Golf Open, Ocean Thunder Surf Boat Series, has hosted the Kelloggs Nutri-Grain Ironman Series, co-hosted TripleM’s Dead Set Legends and has been a guest presenter on Getaway.
Herself a keen sportswoman; Sam runs marathons, plays golf, rows surf boats, is a keen touch football and netball player and has recently become a mum to her own little girl, Imogen.
