Erin Osborne
By Sportette
Since her debut in 2009 Erin Osborne has become a regular fixture in the national squad. She tasted international success at the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 in the West Indies in 2010 and was an integral member of the team that won back-to-back titles in Sri Lanka two years later. The off-spinner was a member of the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars that enjoyed a golden six months, backing up their T20 World Cup victory with the ICC Women’s World Cup title in India in 2013. In 2014 came more success for the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars when they won their third straight ICC Women’s World Twenty20, Osborne is among a handful of players that played in all three events and has a genuine claim on the ‘three-peat’. Osborne has worked hard on her batting in recent years and is regarded as a handy all-rounder who has won matches off her own bat for Australia.
